A complete cut of Bob Lazar’s May 15, 1989 KLAS-TV “Dennis” interview preserves the early version of his claims about nine discs, gravity propulsion, antimatter power, and S-4.

This appears to be a complete cut of Bob Lazar’s original May 15, 1989 “Dennis” interview — the KLAS-TV segment in which Lazar first appeared publicly with his identity obscured.
At the time, he was presented under the alias “Dennis.” This was before the Bob Lazar story became one of the most debated cases in UFO history, and before decades of documentaries, interviews, arguments, debunks, and reinterpretations were built around it.
What makes this version valuable is that it preserves the early form of the claims.
In the interview, Lazar claims that there were nine flying discs of extraterrestrial origin. He says some were intact and operational, while others were being dismantled and analyzed. He describes his own role as being mainly connected to propulsion and the power source.
According to Lazar, the propulsion system was based on gravity, while the power source was an antimatter reactor. He argues that the technology could not have been made by the U.S. government.
He also describes the information as highly compartmentalized. He says he did not know how the government allegedly obtained the craft, and claims that Soviet personnel had been involved at some point but were later removed from the program.
The interview also includes claims that the program was connected to the Star Wars budget, that the U.S. Navy maintained control over the program, and that Lazar had been threatened with espionage charges. He also states that both he and his wife had been threatened.
One of the more interesting moments comes when Lazar is asked about aliens at Groom Lake. Rather than answering directly, he avoids the subject and says he wants to steer away from that for the time being.
This should not be treated as proof that Lazar’s claims are true. His story remains deeply controversial, and many parts of it have been challenged for decades.
But as historical source material, the interview matters.
Whether someone believes Lazar, rejects him, or remains undecided, it is useful to return to the earliest available version of the story rather than relying only on later documentaries, edited clips, or secondhand summaries.
